Another thing about fantasy literature is that it's usually thought of as a man's thing, so seeing a series written by a woman and narrated by a woman is nice. In this case, we have a winner.

The Liveship Traders is also one of my favorite Hobb books. Flosnik wrote it as her second trilogy after the Farseer Trilogy. It has a lot of people and a lot of different island, city, and ocean settings, all of which she does with a lot of enthusiasm.
