5 Best Litrpg Books Update 05/2022

What is LitRPG?

The more fantasy books you read, the more likely it is that you’re also a fan of video games. Millenials and Gen Zers are becoming more and more interested in writing, so it’s not surprising that their two hobbies would mix. It’s time for Literary Role Playing Games. They’re called LitRPGs for short. If you look at Tron by Brian Daley from 1982, or Jumanji by Chris Van Allsburg, you can see that LitRPG has been around a long time. But LitRPG is a new fantasy genre that has only been around for about 15 years. The LitRPG is a type of game.

LitRPG is a book that has some parts of role-playing games in it. Usually, these things include a leveling up system, which means that your stats will get better. They can be people or things that have health, mana, or stamina bars or points. Often, these books have quests, guilds, and class roles, such as tank, support, and damage per second. Most people know that a book is LitRPG when it takes place in a game. Online role-playing game (MMORPG): This is the most common type of game. In this case, think about games like World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy 14, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Guild Wars, or Phantasy Star Online, and how you can play them online Think about what it would be like if there was a book that took place in a world like that of the games. That is what a LitRPG book is.

How To Find The Best LITRPG Books in 2021

So, there’s one thing I should say about LitRPG. Writing for LitRPG is easier than writing traditional fantasy novels. This is what author Blake Arthur Peel said in a Reddit post about writing for LitRPG. It’s easier to keep track of how many hit points a character has, how many experience points he or she has, and how much damage he or she does to other people when you use numbers. It’s a good way to start writing fantasy, but it’s also easier to get started. In fact, there are a lot of LitRPGs for sale online because it’s easier to write than other types of games. You can find a lot of these on kindle unlimited or free sites like Royal Road. They are mostly self-published books that you can find on these sites. These LitRPG books will not be very good because of this. They will be full of overused tropes, have over-sexualized women, and be terrible writing. It’s like finding a diamond in the rough. They are very hard to find, but they are still there.

There are diamonds in the rough. How do you find them? Fortunately, you came to the right place, because this list has the books you want. But, after you’ve read the books on the list, what will happen? There was a previous article called “How to find your next favorite book.” You should read that one first. The most important thing I can tell you about LitRPG is to look for books written by well-known people. Is it always bad when someone’s first book is bad? It’s just more common for someone’s first book in LitRPG to be good. An already well-known author is likely to have an editor. The best thing that could happen to some of these books is for them to have a good editor.

Rules to the List

As LitRPG is a very new subgenre, to some people, what makes up the genre can change. Some people think that LitRPG doesn’t have to have any of the things I mentioned above to be called LitRPG. Others think that the books have to have all of the LitRPG features or they won’t be called that. Personally, I think that LitRPG should have at least one of the things I mentioned above in order to be called a genre. For that reason, some books may not be on the list that some people think should be. If you want to see an example, you could look at Cradle Series by Will Wight or Mother of Learning by Nobody03. Both are great books, and both have been argued to be LitRPG, but I don’t think either can be called that. So, they won’t be on the list.

Azarinth Healer by Rhaegar

One of Rhaegar’s books is Azarinth Healer, which is at number 10. If you want to read this LitRPG web series, there have been 712 chapters as of July 29, 2021. Each chapter has about 3,000 words, so think of this as a series with a lot of different books. They are number 10 on the list because this is the first book that was written by the author. Because of that, it has a lot of grammar mistakes and tends to go on for a long time in places that the author could have cut down. This isn’t true, though. None of these things affect the overall story. This book is a fun, action-packed adventure that has fast-paced battles, great progress, and is always fun. Because this is one of the most popular stories on Royal Road, people keep an eye on it. It’s been called a “literary hack and slash game,” which I think is the best way to describe it. If you want a simple, fun story with not a lot of plot but a lot of battles and progress, this is the book for you. It’s set in an RPG-like world.

This is what the book is about. You can say that Ilea Spears is your typical sarcastic¬† fast-food worker who wants to go to college. She will be taken to another world in a very normal way, and she will have to learn how to live in the wild.A new world that has almost too many options. People have a lot of different jobs, classes, magic, and things to fight. It sounds good. That’s true for Ilea. She didn’t get to meet a king or a god, though. The big goal? For now, a new world with new food is enough. As long as it takes, she’s ready to punch and be hit, no matter how many limbs she has to grow back.

Dungeon Lord by Hugo Huesca

Dung Lord by Hugo Huesca is number 9. Ivalis, a video game world, is the setting for book one in the Wraith’s Haunt series. ivalis is a world where there are gods and heroes and monsters, and of course, there are also dungeons A lot of people like the main character in this book, and it’s a lot of fun (something hard to find in LitRPG). The anime/manga Overlord is a good example of a story like this. It might be interesting to read Dungeon Lord if you like that kind of thing. This is a short book that’s worth your time. As a bonus, the audiobook is also very good. It was read by Jeff Hayes and Annie Ellicott at the same time. There is a lot to like about the book itself, but the narration takes it to another level.

This is what the book is about. Dark forces have made Edward Wright an offer that will give him a lot of power for a very high price. …and Edward has chosen to make them feel bad about what they did. In the world of Ivalis, Edward is a Dungeon Lord, the Dark Lord’s most powerful servant. When he comes to Ivalis, he doesn’t think about being a servant. He will fight against the evil plans of the Dark God Murmur, no matter what. Edward has to rise to power if he wants to live another day. He has to use his wits and his guts to get by. But if both sides are cruel, uncaring monsters, what can Edward do in the fight between Dark and Light?

In the distant world of Ivalis, the cold gods are making fun of each other. A hero wants to become more powerful and have more experience. Kings send their troops to die for the Dark and the Light. …No one, however, thinks that the Dungeon Lord will rise to power… As for Ivalis, maybe only one man can make his own way.

Worth the Candle By Alexander Wales

If you read my list of the best web serials in 2021, you might recognize this book from that list as well. This is a LitRPG called Worth the Candle by Alexander Wales. The main character is put into a world of his own making. It talks about how the person you were in the past can influence the person you become now. One of the best LitRPGs out there is a great web serial that is going on all the time.

This is what the book is about. Juniper Smith started writing down his worlds when he was nine. At first, they were places of fantasy, but later, each was a way to express a theme or idea that caught his attention at the time. Over the course of eight years, he played tabletop games with his friends twice a week. Now that he’s 17, he’s in Aerb, a world that looks like a mix of all the notebooks he’s read. He can’t figure out why he’s there or what this world is trying to say. A scary answer might be that this world is a reflection of the person he was on Earth.

Dragon Heart by Kirill Klevanksi

Amazon.com: Dragon Heart: Blood Will 3: 9798634946627: Klevanski, Kirill: Books

Dragon Heart is on the list, but Cradle isn’t. Some people might wonder why. Both are based on wuxia, right? There, you’re right! Cradle doesn’t have a LitRPG-like interface system for the main character like Dragon Heart does (and no, Dross doesn’t count as one). Dragon Heart by Kirill Klevanski is a wuxia-themed, progress fantasy LitRPG that is about revenge. This book has a lot of great martial arts action, cliffhangers, and interesting people. A lot of world building exposition makes this book a little slow at times. All in all, this is a great, well-written series, even though it was translated from Russian. It should be on this list of the best LitRPGs. This is what the book is about. He was born again in a world where martial arts and magic were almost the same thing. In the past, he had only been given a neuronet and meaningless desires from his life before. What’s next?

His dreams of adventure and freedom were taken away from him. He was taken away in the same way that his mother, father, and sister were. Even his destiny was taken away by the people who took his kingdom. That doesn’t mean he won’t fight the whole world to get everything back. If a whole army is against him, his sword won’t move. Even if the Emperor sends his entire army against him, he won’t stop. No matter how many bad guys or good guys come together to try to stop him, he won’t be pushed around by them. His own will is like iron, and he can’t be stopped. As for his name, it’s Hadjar. The dragon heart inside him calls out to him.

He Who Fights With Monsters by Shirtaloon

There are a lot of interesting things for the main character, Jason, to find in the world of He Who Fights with Monsters. Because it’s also one of the most well-known LitRPG series in the world, In the past, it has been seen by more than 13 million people on Royal Road before it was officially released on Amazon. It is still read by many people today. A LitRPG should have all the things that a LitRPG should have. It is set in a world from a video game. There are classes, guilds, parties, loot, quests, and monster hunts in it. The first 100 chapters (or one book) are great. This thing will not let you go. It’s a shame, but the quality isn’t good enough. This is clear from the way it looks. When you get to chapter 130, you’ll start to see how many people, even 12-year-olds, look like the main character. There are only 100 chapters in the first book, but they make it to number 6. But who knows? By then, you might be so hooked on the story that you’ll read up to chapter 484! But the first 100 chapters are worth reading on their own.

This is what the book is about. Jason wakes up in a world that is full of magic and monsters when he dies. Cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters, and just the first day of his trip are some of the things he’ll face. He’s going to need courage, wit, and some magic powers of his own to get through this. Then he’ll need pants. Take a look at Jason as he makes his own place in a world that is both strange and familiar at the same time. He’ll meet crime lords and aristocrats, gods and monsters, as he moves from being a victim to being a hero. At least, he tries to be a good person. There are a lot of things that make it hard to be good when all your powers are bad.
