Passengers on the RMS Titanic could enjoy a lot of luxury. The White Star Line ran the ship. It was registered in Britain, and it was meant to be a trans-Atlantic liner that would run from Southampton to New York City.
Firsts: It was the most luxurious ship in service at the time, and it was bigger than any other one. Its sinking in 1912 is thought to be one of the worst maritime disasters of all time.
It was thought to be the largest wreck of an ocean liner that was still in use when it sank.
The RMS Titanic had two sister ships, the RMS Olympic and the HMHS Britannic. They were both part of the Olympic class of White Star ocean liners, and the Titanic was one of them. It was built in the yards of Harland and Wolff, a well-known naval shipyard in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
The ship sank in the North Atlantic Ocean on April 15, 1912, when it hit an iceberg that no one had seen. Over 1,500 passengers and crew members died of hypothermia and drowning, out of the 2,224 people on the ship at the time of the accident.
The five holds of the ships quickly filled with water because of the damage they had when they hit the iceberg.
Sadly, the Titanic had watertight structures that kept it from sinking up to the flooding of four holds at the front. This was not enough to keep it from sinking. Due to waterlogging, the vessel flipped over. It sank in a matter of hours.
The RMS Carpathia, which had heard the distress call, picked up more than 700 people who were still alive. There were many problems with the safety arrangements on passenger ships after the ship sank and the investigation that followed.
After the ship sank, two years later, the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) was set up to keep people safe at sea.
The tragic sinking of the luxury liner led to a lot of movies and books about the events that led up to it. In this article, we look at the top 10 books about the Titanic that you should read, and then we compare them.

Firsthand accounts from the last few people who survived the Titanic, stunning images of the discovery, and subsequent exploration of the wreck are all included in the book. It gives an in-depth look at the last few hours of the Titanic. It goes on to look at the stories of hundreds of people who died, and how the world is working to make sure it doesn't happen again. The Ship of Dreams: The Sinking of the Titanic and the End of the Edwardian Era
By Gareth Russell
The Titanic killed more than 1,500 people when it sank in 1912, and many more were hurt. Author Gareth Russel, on the other hand, looks at the disaster through the eyes of six wealthy people who were fortunate enough to be on the Titanic, an American model and actress, a co-owner of Macy's department store, and a U.S. captain of the industry, along with his son, who died in the disaster. The story of how a trip meant to show off the luxury of that time quickly turned into a nightmare has been well-written in this must-read thriller. The book also takes a stand on the culture of the time, and how it was criticized after the tragedy. The book includes stories and histories from people who survived the disaster.
