Books About Wrestling

In the last few years, there has been a big rise in books about professional wrestling. In the WWF, Mankind (Michael Foley) was the first to start the trend when his book "a" became a New York Times best seller. Since then, the genre has gone from strength to strength. It was the best wrestling book when it came out, but now there are more good wrestling books out there. If you're a WWE, AEW, WCW, or NJPW fan, there's always a book for you to read.

Some of the best wrestling books are written by people who have been wrestling. People who work in wrestling have been writing best-selling books for a long time now. Bret Hart and Mick Foley are two of them. Everyone from AEW is in on the fun. Chris Jericho is one of the Elite who has written a book. All the Elite have written their own books. Jon Moxley is writing a new book for Christmas this year, and it will be out soon. AEW's Tony Khan called it "one of the best wrestling books ever." It's great that he's such a history buff of Professional Wrestling.

Best Wrestling Books You Need To Read in 2021

Bret Hart – HITMAN

Bret "The Hitman" Hart wrote HITMAN, which is the first book on the list of the best wrestling books. All the way through Bret's wrestling career, HITMAN shows how he began in the "Hart Dungeon." With each page, you can hear Bret's dry wit. It's very well written. You can see how hard it is to be a professional wrestler in an honest way in this movie. Bret makes sure that no one is left out, even if it's himself.

Learning about growing up in the Hart family is very interesting. While wrestling for his father's company, Stampede Wrestling. He comes across all kinds of crazy people. From Andre the Giant, to Kamala, to the Dynamite Kid, no one is left out of this group of people. When both men were young, he even took Hulk Hogan to a good match. Everyone who likes wrestling should read this. You can tell that Bret Hart put a lot of himself into this book.

Chris Jericho – A LIONS TALE

He is one of the best wrestlers of all time, Chris Jericho. He has written one of the best wrestling books of all time. You can read about Chris Jericho's journey in A Lions Tale. He started out as a small-time wrestler in Canada and then went around the world, from Japan to Europe to Mexico. The book ends just before he made his first appearance in the WWF. This book is for people who are interested in how the wrestlers try to make it big. Also, they like WCW and the 1990s wrestling scene. It's in his next books that he talks about his time in the WWF. To do that, try these books instead.

This book has a lot of Jericho's voice and tone in it, and it shows. It's clear that he wrote it, and not just sent it to someone else to write. If you don't laugh at some of his jokes, the book is still very funny. A great book to read and one of the best wrestling books out there.

R.D Reynolds & Bryan Alvarez – THE DEATH OF WCW

Fun wrestling book you'll ever read. They have a dry sense of humor from the very first page. Retell how WCW went from the most popular wrestling company in the world to going out of business in just five years. Figures and statistics are given along with a lot of interviews with wrestlers and other people who work on the show to figure out why it all went wrong so bad.

Daniel Bryan – YES! MY IMPROBABLE JOURNEY TO THE MAIN EVENT OF WRESTLEMANIA

Another piece of writing from one of the best of all time. Unlike Bret Hart's autobiography, Daniel Bryan's book does not go into as much detail about his life as Hart's did. It does, however, give a lot of interesting information about his career and the independent wrestling scene in general in the early 2000s.

When Bryan Danielson talks, he talks about how his first WWE run didn't go well, to becoming the King of the Independents and a big star for Ring of Honor. Before Wrestlemania 30, he writes about his whole career up until then. Each page starts with a small piece of Bryan's life the week before his famous victory at Wrestlemania. If you're a fan of Daniel Bryan or just the independent wrestling scene, this book is a must-have.

The Young Bucks – KILLING THE BUSINESS

One of the best tag teams in history. In this book, Nick and Matt Jackson, the Young Bucks, are shown from their childhood all the way up to the start of All Elite Wrestling. It's written by both brothers, with each written by a different brother. "Killing the Business" The book is easy to read and is great for wrestling fans to read on a lazy Sunday. This is for people who want to know more about AEW's stars and how the company came to be. It is one of the newest books on the best wrestling books list, and one that I think everyone should read.

Scott E. Williams – HARDCORE HISTORY: THE EXTREMELY UNORTHARISED STORY OF ECW

Not to be confused with Dan Carlin's podcast, Hardcore History is a complete history of the rise and fall of ECW. It is not the same as the podcast. It became popular in the early to late 1990s as an alternative to wrestling with the WWF and WCW, which were popular at the time. It was hardcore wrestling that used blood, steel chairs to the face, and thumbtacks in the back to hurt people.

There are interviews with people who were there, like wrestlers and fans. They also talk about how ECW became a big part of pop culture. ECW fans from the 1990s will love this bool because it brings back all of their favorite memories.

Chris Charlton – LIONS PRIDE: THE TURBULANT HISTORY OF NEW JAPAN PRO WRESTLING

Next on the list of the best wrestling books is a book that talks about the history of New Japan Pro Wrestling. Chris Charlton talks about the history of wrestling in Japan from its post-war, American-inspired start. It talks about the history of Japanese wrestling, with a lot of attention on the NJPW wrestling company. There are still modern-day heroes like Kazuchika Okada and Hiroshi Tanahashi who are great at what they do, even today.

Each chapter talks about a different time in the history of New Japan Pro Wrestling. It tells you about things like Antonio Inoki leaving JPW to start NJW and his fight with Giant Baba in the ring. If you're a fan of NJPW and want to learn more about the promotion, this is a great book to read.
