Write as if you mean it. While we live in a time where computer-generated fonts and text messages are common, Bill Gates was well-known for being inspired by the art of calligraphy when he made fonts for Word. Western calligraphy has been around for a long time. Its roots can be traced back to the second and third centuries AD. Calligraphy manuscripts began to be made less and less after printing became common in the 15th century It happened because the Arts and Crafts movement had a big impact on the way people wrote at the end of the 19th century. Today, modern calligraphy styles have grown, and you can see them all over. Become part of the rich history of calligraphy and learn some styles of calligraphy for yourself with the best beginner calligraphy books on the market.

June & Lucy Guide to Modern Calligraphy

If you want to be a good calligrapher, this is one of the guides that will help you. It's a great book for beginners because it walks you through a step-by-step process of learning calligraphy in a way that doesn't make you feel bad. What makes this book so great is that it takes the time to think about what new people need.

June & Lucy's book doesn't start with a long list of instructions right away. Instead, it shows you how to use the book and how to hold your calligraphy pen. It's a big deal to me because this makes it easier to start. It removes the barriers that you might face at first.

People say it's a very big book. That includes its cover, which is made of high-quality material and has a matte cover design that doesn't have any extraneous things on it to make it look nice. It's one of those books that you can put on your shelf and be proud of.

The print is also shown off well. It all looks like it fits together, and the learning guide that comes with it is easy to follow. A lot of people say that it helps them improve their basic calligraphy skills.

It comes with a lot of pages where you can do exercises. And because the drill worksheets are big, I didn't have a hard time getting around them, too. If you want, you can also go to the author's website and get more pdf worksheets that you can print out and use.

Whitney Farnsworth Pretty Simple Lettering

This calligraphy practice book stands out because it has a lot of different ways to write the alphabet. What I really like about this is that it helps you learn different fonts so that you can use them on different things. For formal events like weddings, there are different styles of clothes. For more casual events like birthdays and baptisms, there are also different styles of clothes.

It's for beginners and intermediate users who need to learn more about calligraphy. People who are new to the subject can use this book to learn and improve their basic skills. The calligraphy letter guide is very simple to follow, and it's easy to learn.

It's a very well-drawn book. All of the pages are beautiful. The cover page is strong and looks good, so you can put it on your bookshelf with ease. Another thing I like about this is that it has a spiral bound on the back. If you don't have a book that is spiral bound, this one is easier to lay down. I don't have to hold it down with my other hand, so I can practice my letterings without having to keep it in place.
