Top 16 Christmas Books For Book Clubs Updated 04 /2024

The holidays are a great theme for book clubs because they are so fun. A White Elephant gift exchange, cookies, and/or fun cocktails can also be part of your meeting about the book you all chose. A great way to end the year.

As for Halloween, there are more books about it, but there isn't much about Thanksgiving at all. In the winter, there are many books. You have the old favorites, but there are also a lot of new ones. So many are coming out this year that I made a post about them.

I love reading holiday books, so I thought I'd put together a list of books I've read over the last few years that I think would be great for your December book club meeting. I hope this helps!

One Day in December by Josie Silver

One Day in December by Josie Silver is so good. It's the book that has it all: heartfelt, compelling, and emotionally moving at the same time. What's weird about this one is that it's not just about the holidays. Even though it starts in the wintertime, the whole thing takes place over the course of a decade. This book is also a good choice for your December book club because it starts and ends at Christmas. It tells the story of two strangers, Laurie and Jack, who fall in love at first sight. That's not all. When they meet again, it turns out Jack is dating Laurie's best friend. Especially, I want to point out how emotional this one turned out to be, which was a surprise. In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren

Christina Lauren's book, In a Holidaze, was very good to me. It's a great book and a great idea. When I read books, I don't always like rom-coms, but they did a great job with this one. A twist on Groundhog Day, Maelyn Jones starts the same holiday over and over again. There are a lot of parts of the story that are funny and the romance is good. This is the best way to end the year. Mae's favorite place in the world is the snowy cabin in Utah where she and her family have spent every Christmas since she was born, along with two other families. This is the last time she'll be there. As she drives away from the cabin for the last time, Mae is having a hard time keeping her thoughts together. She says, "Please." See what makes you happy.

 

Her tires start to screech and metal comes together, and everything goes dark. But when Mae wakes up, she gasps. In Utah, she'll start the same holiday over again. Mae keeps getting sent back to the plane by hilarious mishaps. She has to figure out how to get out of the time loop and finally get her true love under the mistletoe.

The Christmas Sisters by Sarah Morgan

To be honest, I thought The Christmas Sisters by Sarah Morgan was going to be a little on the cheesy side, but it wasn't at all. It's not! When you read this book, you'll see that it's a very heartfelt story about family and sisterhood. The Highlands of Scotland are a great setting for this story. They're all great. The Royal Holiday by Jasmine Gullory is another great book with a great setting and a great idea. It's about Vivian, Meghan Markle's mom. She goes to London with her daughter, who is styling a member of the royal family. Vivian meets a private secretary by accident, and it turns into a full-blown fling. You can read about it here.

Vivian Forest has only been outside of the country once. When her daughter Maddie goes to England for work, she can't say no to going with her. She will be styling a royal family member. She's excited to spend the holidays in the UK and see the beautiful British sights. What she doesn't expect is to fall in love with a certain private secretary, his charming accent, and his unbending formality.

Malcolm Hudson has worked for the Queen for a long time, but until now, he has never given a private, one-on-one tour of the palace to someone else. After meeting Vivian, he finds himself making excuses to spend time with her, so he can get to spend time with her more often. For a while, she wrote modern stories. Before she was known for writing historical fiction, she wrote a lot of modern stories, too! When I found out that she wrote a story about the holidays, I was very happy. Comfort and Joy is about coping with grief and loss, having a second chance at love, and working to get better.
