What are the best spiritual books to read?
How do you start your spiritual journey and what are the best spiritual books to read? This is a question I get asked a lot. In order to help you find the best spiritual books to start with, I have put together a list of the top 8 for beginners.
I love reading books that you can hold in your hands, smell the pages, hear the pages turn, and feel like you’re hanging out with a friend. As far as I know, I haven’t read any books on the internet or on a device. I like to keep things as old-fashioned as possible, and that includes books.
These are the spiritual books that opened my eyes and helped me on my way to becoming a better person. It is my hope that these books will help anyone who is feeling alone or confused about where they are in life. I know there is more to life and I hope that these books will help you find some of the answers you are looking for. As I move forward on my journey, each time I pick one of these books up with more awareness, I get more out of it. Each time I pick one of these books up, I learn something new. Because I want to go to a product page on Booktopia for each book, I’ve put a link in the title.
My Top 8 Spiritual Books for Beginners List
The Soul Searchers Handbook – Emma Mildon
A person who is at the start of their religious or spiritual journey should try this holy grail. Friendship: Em is one of my best friends. She has had a big impact on my spiritual awareness (Thanks Em). This book was the beginning for me because it explained many new age ideas and tools in a way that was easy for me to understand. It also had a lot of humor, because who doesn’t like a good laugh while reading a book? If you want to find your soul, you need to have a healthy body, an awakened mind, and a vibrant spirit. The Soul Searchers Handbook is broken into three parts: healthy body, awakened mind and vibrant spirit. Cover and pages show that I love this book and still use it. Anyone who owns a bookcase needs this.
Miracles Now – Gabrielle Bernstein
She is one of the best new age spiritualists and people who believe in the universe Gabby has more than six best-selling books. If you haven’t heard of Gabby, you should get her books. Miracles Now is full of 108 life-changing tools that help you thrive and connect more deeply with the world. At the end of each lesson, there is an affirmation that you can believe. A good book for people who want to learn more about spirituality but don’t want to be confused or overwhelmed. It’s also a good book for people who already know a lot about spirituality, because it has reminders that we all need no matter where we are on our journey.
The Power of Now – Eckhart Tolle
A lot of people don’t like this book when they first pick it up. They read a few pages and don’t like them, so they put it back on the shelf. Then they pick it up again and can’t stop reading because it is setting their souls on fire! That’s how it worked out for me. The Power of Now starts to get a little more into the ideas of consciousness, unconsciousness, enlightenment, and peace a little more. The more you read this, the more you’ll realize how important it is to let go and let go of your mind.
The Celestine Prophecy – James Redfield
A few years ago, I read this book and thought it was very interesting. I thought it gave a magical understanding of energy and how our mind, thoughts, and emotions can have a big impact on the quality of our lives. When the main character finds parts of a manuscript that talks about nine ways to be more spiritual, he has a lot of coincidences. This book is a little different from other books. As you read the story, you will also learn lessons and insights that will help you grow on your spiritual journey, too. If you read this again and again, you’ll learn something new each time.
Conversations with God Book One – Neale Donald Walsch
When I need a pick-me-up, I like to go back to Conversations with God, one of my favorite books. It tells the story of how the author had an unexpected and ongoing conversation with God about everything from everyday problems and troubles to relationships and money to happiness and values. People who are religious or believe in a god don’t have to worry about how this will work for them. As long as you believe that there is a universal energy that works with us and our energy, this read will be a lot of fun. ‘God’ is really funny and also straight to the point. There are a lot of aha moments, and it encourages you to spend less time complaining and more time thinking about the things that really matter.
Light is the New Black – Rebecca Campbell
In your hands, you can feel the energy of this book, and the cover gives you a taste of the magic inside. Rebecca Campbell wants you to start listening to your soul and step into your own light, so she wants you to come forward now. An empowering book that shows you that you are in charge of your life and that you can choose and make whatever you want. There’s no way to hide when you read this book. The responsibility for your life is put back on you in the most warm, loving, and empowering way possible. It’s another book where you can pick it up any time and open a page for a quick motivational boost. There is a second book by Rebecca Campbell that is just as good as the first one, called Rise Sister Rise.
The Untethered Soul – Michael A. Singer
In this book, you learn about self-awareness and non-attachment very quickly. It walks you through what you think happens in your mind and what really happens in your mind. DAM I need to read this again. This book helps you find freedom both inside and outside of yourself. It shows you how to find freedom in your emotions, energy, and how to choose happiness. You should read this book first if I were to put these books in any kind of order. This book would be at the top.
Stop Missing the Point – Peta Kelly
I look up to PK on so many levels, and he is one of them. If you’re looking for a book about new age spirituality, this is the one for you. It shows you what new age spirituality can be like. It can be fun and light-hearted, and it doesn’t matter that you’re a person and have human desires and emotions. I love this woman, what she stands for, and the messages she spreads to everyone else in the world. Another one you should read.
There you go, friends! This is a great place to start on your journey to become more aware of yourself. It would be great if you could tell us in the comments what your favorite spiritual books are. Do you have any more to add? In my heart, I think this is a good place for people who are interested in going deeper into their journey of reconnecting with their true selves. There are many more spiritual books I could add to this list, but to not overwhelm you, I think this is a good place to start.
