How about you? After the hard 18 months we have been through, I want to read things that make me feel better and warm my heart. I read more than ever before. When I pick up my book and know I can get away from what’s going on in the real world for an hour or so, it’s kept me sane.

The books I want to read right now aren’t thrillers or dramas about families that don’t work out. Funny and charming stories are what I want instead. I know nothing bad will happen and there will be a happy ending.

Whether you need a pick-me-up or not, these feel-good books will make you smile.

Once in a while, a book comes along that truly moves you. When I read Days of Wonder, I was both happy and sad. It was about a single father and his daughter, Hannah. I laughed and cried as I read. As Hannah’s health worsens and the theater comes under threat from developers, Tom is under a lot of stress. This is a magical story about love, hope, and not giving up. It has a great cast of people who are real and interesting.
