A hotel called the Paradox Hotel is where rich people stay while they wait for their "flights" into the past. January Cole is the head of security at this hotel. The hotel is near a time port. Because of the snow, no one is going on their trips to the past any time soon, and everyone is stuck in hotel. January thinks there's a murderer on the loose, which makes things even worse. It's the only thing. It's January who can see the body.

Homicide and Halo-Halo by Mia P. Manansala (March 8)

It was a great show in 2020. You can get Homicide and Halo-Halo, which is the next book in the series, at this link. As you read this book, Lila Macapagal's town of Shady Palms is bringing back the Miss Teen Shady Palms Beauty Pageant. This was a title Lila won a long time ago. There was a pageant, and one of the judges was killed. Lila's cousin (and rival) is the main suspect. So now, the two cousins have to work together to solve this case, because one of them could be next.

Like A Sister by Kellye Garrett (March 8)

Desiree Pierce's body is found on a playground in the Bronx the morning after her 25th birthday party. There are a lot of people who say that Desiree's sister, Lena Scott, died from an overdose. This can't be true. Even though Lena hasn't talked to her sister in years, she wants to know what happened to Desiree. To get justice for her sister, as well as to help her.

Burn Down, Rise Up by Vincent Tirado (April 3)

It's a young adult book about a group of friends who want to save their city. A lot of people have been going missing in the Bronx, and no one can figure out why. At first, 16-year-old Raquel tries to not notice. Finally, police only look for missing white kids. This is why. That's not the only bad thing that happens to Charlize. Raquel's mother has a mysterious illness that may be linked to Charlize's cousin going missing and Raquel's mother. To solve the mysterious disappearances of the people and city that Raquel and Charlize care about, Raquel and Charlize work together. They find that all of these disappearances may be linked to an urban legend called the Echo Game.
