Online video tutorials for learning to play the guitar aren't going to stop people from learning to play the guitar from beginner guitar books in 2022.

The "learn guitar books" (both acoustic and electric) are here to stay because thousands of guitar lesson books are being sold every day, which means they will stay.

For this reason, I thought I'd buy, read, review, and compare a few of these books to see how they did.

I didn't choose the books I bought at random. Instead, I chose them from the best-selling lists of online bookstores.

There is a good chance that these are the best beginner guitar books out there, because so many people want them.

It might be those who have the best ads.

For the past 15 years, I have been teaching people how to play the guitar. I'm also a big fan of technology, so I usually recommend online video lessons for people who want to learn. I think that with today's multimedia tools, video guitar lessons are the best way to learn how to play guitar. I'll add some recommendations for video lessons after I review the books, if you want to see how to play the guitar on the other side.

Guitar Exercises for Beginners: 10x Your Guitar Skills in 10 Minutes a Day by Guitar Head

One of the biggest problems that new guitar players face is having to practice on their own, which is a lot of work. This means that they don't know what and how to practice, so they play things they already know or don't practice enough.

The Guitar Exercises for Beginners book is good because it helps you learn how to play the guitar better. It gives an answer to this question and helps new people get started in the right direction.

The book has 100 exercises that all beginning guitar players need to do to improve their skills. As a beginner gets better, the exercises get more difficult, just like they do for a player who starts out. The author does a good job of explaining the right and wrong ways to practice, as well as how long each exercise should be done for and how often.

As a student, you can listen to each exercise on theguitarhead.com. This way, you can see and hear how to do each one of them. If you want to learn how to play the guitar in 2022, you should have a book like this one.

You can see that this exercise book has a lot of good reviews on Amazon. It has a 4.5 star rating from the 1,100+ people who have given it a rating. Almost 90% of people who bought it gave it 4 or 5 stars.

I think this book would be a good addition to your daily practice book as you learn to play the guitar. It would help you keep your practice sessions regular and efficient. It's about 140 pages long, and by the end of it, you'll have a good idea of how to play the guitar.

Guitar for Dummies by Mark Phillips and Jon Chappell

If you buy the 4th edition of Guitar for Dummies, which is new for 2016, it's almost 400 pages long. You'll probably want to start playing your guitar right away.

When they made this new edition, they got rid of the DVD that came with the first one. Instead, they added online video and audio clips as a supplement to the book's teachings. There were only 85 videos and 95 audio tracks. At least it's a step in the right direction. By reading, you can only learn about music. You need tools that can be heard.

The Guitar for Dummies book makes it clear that this one is not just for people who want to learn how to play guitar. People who play guitar at an intermediate level would find this book very helpful. It has a lot of information and theory. This book also teaches the basics, but it also talks about the specifics of different genres.

Having just come out, this new edition doesn't have any reviews yet. The 3rd edition had 79 percent of customers give it 4 or 5 stars. It all comes down to this: If you want to keep learning from a guitar book, this is what I would do.

Teach Yourself to Play Guitar: A Quick and Easy Introduction for Beginners

If you want to learn how to play the guitar, this paperback is the best-selling one on Amazon.com. It costs just under $6 at the moment. None of the things it comes with have a CD in them.

It is a very short book with only 47 pages. It teaches you the very basics of how to play the guitar. In a way, it's like a "hit and run" guitar lesson.

You could say that the book does what it says it will, giving a beginner guitar player an introduction to the guitar. It is for people who are completely new and stops at the beginning level. It doesn't have any lessons that are even remotely complicated in terms of theory.

The book has a lot of diagrams, which will help new people. If you look at the picture gallery below, you can see a list of the book's contents.

The reviews by other people are mostly positive, with 78% of them giving it 4 or 5 stars.

It might be OK to give someone a guitar as a gift, and this book might help them learn to play. It would be better if you wanted to spend a little more money, or if you wanted to buy a book for yourself. I'd go with the second book, the Guitar for Dummies book. It has online video and audio demos, and hearing what you should be playing helps when you're learning how to play a song.

Hal Leonard Guitar Method by Will Schmid and Greg Koch

If you want to learn to play the guitar, this book is one of the most well-known. It costs about $13 right now.

This Hal Leonard guitar book is actually a set of three books, each about 50 pages long, and it comes with three CDs that you can listen to while you read.

I think this book would be good for younger students (under 20). It is very simple, which can be good in some situations, but can be a little boring in others.

It also has a lot of sheet music. You can use these music sheets to try out what you're learning in each chapter, which is a good thing. But when I went through the books, I thought there were a lot of things I didn't know about. This is probably because they were trying to make things as simple as possible, but this leaves gaps in the padawan guitarist's knowledge.

I also found that this book focuses more on traditional music notation than on guitar tablature. This means that guitar tablature isn't as important as it should be. A guitar teacher I know thinks tabs are the best thing since sliced bread because they make it easier for beginners to learn how to play the guitar. And because learning to play the guitar is hard, anything that makes it easier is more than welcome. Then, if you want to learn how to read standard music notation, this is the way to do it.

There isn't much I like about the way the lessons are taught, but all teachers are different. It focuses too early on too much theory, and I prefer to get my students playing and having fun, which makes them fall in love with the instrument quickly, rather than spend time on theory.

This book has a lot of good reviews, with 90% of them giving it 4 or 5 stars. Wow!

How to Play the Guitar by Roger Evans

People used to love this book because it helped them learn how to play the guitar back in the 1990s. It's going for about $10 right now.

It doesn't come with a CD or any other kind of media, which is a big turn-off. It also has a lot of text and not enough pictures, so it's not very interesting. Because of these things, I don't think this book is worth reading at all.

Those who want to learn electric guitar will have to look elsewhere.

There is a lot of information in the book, though. It talks about almost everything a guitar student will want to know (how to buy a guitar, fundamental guitar techniques, music theory basics).

The structure of the lessons is good. As you learn more, you'll learn more guitar technical things and more theory. This means you won't get bored of any single topic, and you'll be able to try out the theory one step at a time.

A shame that they didn't make newer versions of this book with more graphics and tools to help you listen and watch.

The written reviews are also pretty good, with 85 percent of people giving it 4 or 5 stars. This is a good book.

When I read the reviews of this beginner's guitar book, I think most of the people who wrote the reviews aren't very far into the book, though. A good review:

When I finished reading, I knew a little about a lot of different guitar techniques, but I didn't think I knew enough to play well on the guitar yet.

When I finally decided to pay for lessons, I learned more in a week than I did by reading the whole book. I'd say that's worth the money.

Guitar Aerobics by Troy Nelson

In 2007, Guitar Aerobics was released for the very first time. It is a different kind of guitar book because it gives you one exercise to do every single day of the year, which is very interesting. In the beginning, the exercises are simple drills. Then they get more difficult.

What can you expect to do? During each day of the week, there is a different type of exercise. This keeps things interesting and different. Monday: We'll alternate picking. There were two different types of string skipping on Tuesday and one type of string bends on Wednesday. Thursday: Arpeggios, too. FRIDAY: Sweep pick, then go home Saturday is legato, and Sunday is rhythm.

This book isn't for beginners because it isn't a coursebook. However, it is still a great addition to a beginner's guitar lessons.

The exercises in Guitar Aerobics start out with simple drills, and after a few hundred days, they get more difficult. Yes, about a few hundred days. Remember that the book gives you one exercise a day. You'll be a better guitar player after a year. It took small steps each day, and you'll be a better player than you are now.

You have to spend a lot of time on each exercise, though. You can't just run through things quickly. There are a lot of exercises that you won't be able to play well on the first day, so you should keep going back to them until you get them right.

You should use a metronome and keep your BPM as high as you can.

So why do I like the idea of this guitar book? Because it forces you to pick up the guitar each and every day. There is only one way to get better at the guitar and that is to practice every day. This 1 exercise per day book is designed to help you with that.

The book comes with an audio file for each exercise, as well as backing tracks that you can play along with when you do them, too. These can be found on the Hal Leonard publishing company website.

This book has a lot of positive reviews from customers, with an average rating of 4.2 out of five stars after a lot of reviews.
