One of the best things about my "No Spend" experiment is that I've been able to read through all of my unread books. It's been so good to spend so much time reading. I've found some real gems that have given me so many ideas for the next part of my journey. All the books I've read over the years have also made me think a lot about how they've changed me.

What are the most life-changing spiritual books do I recommend for women?

Succulent Wild Woman– SARK

SARK, how do I keep track of all the ways? My life began when I met SARK. In so many ways, this is true. When I read her whimsical, magical, illustrated memoirs of a life lived out loud, they set off a fire in me that I've never felt from anyone else. A "Succulent Wild Woman" is a person who isn't afraid to be who she is. She was the first one I had ever met. SARK is truly a soul lighthouse for so many people. Every woman should read her!

A Thousand Names For Joy – Byron Katie

I think Byron Katie's "The Work" is one of the most powerful tools you can use to change your mind. Her four simple questions can help relieve pain, be more content, and have a better sense of well-being. All of Katie's books are my favorite, and she's even taught me for two days. It's a piece of work that has stayed with me for more than a decade. Definitely worth it.

The Artist’s Way – Julia Cameron

Julia is, in fact, the Archangel of Creativity, and she is very good at it. She has a lot of books. She is very good at writing, and they are all good. However, The Artist's Way is her best-known work. As a course, use it for three months to rediscover your creative side again. Over and over again, I've read this book. When I get creatively stale, I go back to it. It's a great book to read as part of a group of women, or with a close friend. All those who want to be more creative should use this book to learn more.

Untie The Strong Woman – Clarissa Pinkola Estes

For her best-selling book, Women Who Run With the Wolves, Dr. E is better known. This book, on the other hand, was a lot more powerful to me. An ode to the unconditional love of the divine feminine is what this book is about. But more than that, it tells stories that make you cry. I can't say it without sounding like a snob, but this book is a piece of heaven.

Carry On, Warrior – Glennon Doyle

Among my favorite quotes: Glennon is a beautiful teacher on so many levels, and he is the person who made them.

When she wrote her memoirs, she was so open and tender about being a sensitive person and trying to figure out how to be okay in the world. It means a lot to me that she was willing to talk about the most difficult parts of parenting, marriage, and being true to yourself.

Soul Coaching – Denise Linn

It's one of my favorite things about Denise: She's wise, kind, and insightful. They are very powerful, and her books and cards are too. In the past, I've used Soul Coaching to go on a 28-day self-exploration course or retreat. It was a beautiful experience that brought me so much happiness.

Rising Strong – Brené Brown

It's hard to choose between Brené's books because I haven't found one that I didn't learn a lot from. Brené is a social worker who studies happiness and what it means to be "whole-hearted." Astonishing: Her findings are very good. I think you should get the audiobooks on these. Brené is a great storyteller, and her wisdom has a way of living inside of you.

The Happiness Project – Gretchen Rubin

To be honest, I didn't want to read this because it was so well-known. But then I read it, and I read all of her books quickly. It turns out that it's very popular for a good reason. It's wonderful! Insightful, thoughtful, and tasty. Make your own Happiness Project and find what makes you happy.

Big Magic – Elizabeth Gilbert.

My favorite creative book is the one that comes up again and again when I talk to other artists. Liz's book on creativity and how to live a more creative life is important and groundbreaking.

If you don't have money, get a job. The best time to work on your creative projects is when you're not at work. And one day, it could be your job. But either way, you'll be making something.

When the universe hides jewels inside of us, it waits to see if we can find them. She is also very kind and respectful.

First, we make the beast beautiful – Sarah Wilson

As a person who has anxiety or bipolar disorder (or who loves someone who does), this book is STUNNING. A powerful book that celebrates the beauty of mental health mishaps and fuckups (yep, those are technical terms). This made my heart feel better.

The Word for World is Forest - Ursula Le Guin:

As soon as James Cameron thought about making a movie called "Avatar," the word "world" came to mind. People from Earth (called "yumens") have arrived on the planet Athshe, where the humanoid Athsheans live in peace. They want to enslave the Athsheans and cut down the trees in the forest to send the valuable wood back to Earth.

The Athsheans, led by Selver, must now learn about violence in order to protect themselves and what they love. Captain Don Davidson, who calls himself a "world-tamer," is their enemy. Raj Lyubov, an anthropologist who likes the Athshean culture and has become friends with Selver, doesn't like what he does. Selver and Lyubov help the Athshean slaves fight back against their captors, with the help of both of them.

To The Lighthouse - Virginia Woolf:

It's a great book, but it's broken up into stream-of-consciousness thoughts by the characters. As a person grows and dies, he or she feels a wide range of emotions. These feelings are echoed through the book by how the characters interact with each other.

Transience and ephemerality run through the whole book. When you read the second section, "Time Passes," you'll see how time has a powerful effect. A lot of people die, and some characters grow old. Once, the house was very clean and well-kept. Now, it's covered in dirt and wildness.
