Tarot Card Books for Beginners

Check out the list below first if you're just getting started with tarot cards and books.

I've talked about more general tarot books first, then I've talked about specific beginner card reading books, then I've talked about tarot spreads books, and then I've talked about a book that gives a more spiritual introduction to tarot reading and learning.

The Ultimate Guide to Tarot – Liz Dean

You should start out with The Ultimate Guide to Tarot, which is one of the best tarot books. I like to use this book as a guide because it's easy to use, but also detailed enough.

Steps on how to start reading and options for different card spreads are given in an easy-to-follow format. It often then gives a detailed description of every card in both the major and minor arcanas.

The Ultimate Guide To Tarot Card Meanings is a book I go back to time and time again when I need a refresher on what the cards mean. It has enough information and is easy to use.

So, I think this is one of the best tarot books for people who are just starting out. Buy this book when you are just starting with tarot and want to learn about it from the ground up. You won't be sorry.

The Easiest Way to Learn Tarot—Ever – Dusty White

Do you want to have fun learning how to hear what your cards are telling you from the start? if you want to learn the Tarot, then this book is for you: The Easiest Way to Learn the Tarot-Ever! Don't be fooled by the author's tone, which has been changed to be more light and fun.

The information in this book is solid, and the hands-on exercises in this book are top-notch, as well. White will show you what each of the 78 cards mean in his own unique way.

He won't let you memorize words that aren't very specific. Instead, he came up with practical, hands-on ways to learn and use the tarot. It will make your relationship with the cards even stronger.

Also, it helps you learn how to make a system of meanings that is just right for your own instincts and intuition. Surely, the two exclamation points in the title deserve their place in the text.

Your Intuitive Printable Tarot Journal and Workbook

When I was not being too hard on myself and was just having fun with the cards, my personal tarot practice really took off. It was because of this that I came up with the idea for my own printable Tarot journal and workbook! I've broken this printable tarot journal into the following five sections to make it easier for you to learn about Tarot:

Your Tarot deck and you are together.

There are three basic Tarot spreads: the Wheel of Fortune, the Wheel of Fortune and

The Cycles are the things that happen.

Love Tarot cards

Tarot reading for yourself

All of the spreads in this workbook have a lot of space where you can either draw, paste or write down the cards you've drawn.

It doesn't just have the spreads. There are also fun exercises that can help you connect with your deck. You'll learn about things like speed-dating your cards, layouts to make your own cheat sheets, and some tips and tricks for tarot newbies.

Hopefully, I made you want to learn more! You could buy this Tarot Journal from me on my little Etsy store right now. I would be forever grateful if you did that.

Because this will not only boost your confidence and skills, but it also makes it so much more fun!

Tarot Cards: A Beginners Guide of Tarot Cards – Julia Steyson

While the first books on this list give a good overview of everything tarot, this book focuses more on the cards to help people be more aware and see possibilities when it would be difficult.

The book explains why tarot cards are important and what each card means. There is a picture of each card that is explained with a clear explanation of what to look for, so you can recognize them when you see them, no matter what card deck you use.

The book also talks about how to do a tarot reading and which spreads to use in great detail.

Even if you haven't studied eastern religions like the Dao or Buddhism, this book is still very interesting to people who have done so. Reading this beginner's book, it becomes clear that the author has a real love for tarot and even talks about how important it is to choose the right tarot card deck for you. A must-have on your tarot book shelf.

Easy Tarot: Learn to Read the Cards – Josephine Ellershaw

ThisEasy Tarotkit was made for people who are just learning how to read Tarot cards. It's the simplest way to learn how to do this. When you read Josephine's book "Easy Tarot Handbook," you'll learn mind tricks and shortcuts that will help you improve your card reading and knowledge of general things.

This book makes it so easy and simple that anyone can learn this way. You can learn how to read the tarot in a few days if you follow the directions in this book to the letter. This book explains everything.

365 Tarot Spreads: Revealing the Magic in Each Day – Sasha Graham

After you learn the basics of tarot reading, you'll want to try out new spreads. It's said in the Ultimate Tarot Beginners Guide that the best way to learn the tarot is to pull a card every day.

This book also tells you how to learn new spreads by giving you a tarot spread for every day of the year.

Every spread in the book is linked to a historical or magical event that happened on that day, and it comes with detailed information and sample questions that you can use to help you think about it.

The book 365 Tarot Spreads: Revealing the Magic in Every Day will help you find the magic in every day.

Power Tarot: More Than 100 Spreads – Trish MacGregor

Another good book for learning tarot spreads is Power Tarot: More than 100 spreads that give you specific answers to your most important question, which has more than 100 spreads. There is a good beginner's guide to the tarot in this book. It also has nearly 100 pages of tarot spreads on it.

These spreads are grouped by how many cards they need. If you want to start, you can use the single card "Yes/No" spread. You can also try out your tarot skills with the twenty-four card spread of the Double Horoscope.

If you want to learn more about the history of the cards, Power Tarot is a good place to start. It doesn't go into as much detail about the cards as I would have liked, which is great for people who are just learning about them.

There is also a long explanation of not only each card but how the cards work together. In addition, the authors also gave each card a special meaning that could help you. These cards can be used in spells and incantations. This is very useful when you want to show how the cards are used.

Seventy-Eight Degrees of Wisdom: A Book of Tarot – Rachel Pollack

No tarot book list is complete without the Seventy-Eight Degrees of Wisdom, which is one of the most well-known books. It is often called one of the most important books in modern tarot. It will help you build a relationship with your cards and your own spiritual side.

In this book, you will learn about history, mythology, and philosophy, and you will also learn about the symbolism and meaning of each of the cards in the deck.

In addition, it talks about common and practical spreads. This book is easy to read and understand. Deep and full of information for both beginning and advanced tarot students, this book is full of useful information.

Rachel Pollack, the author of this book, is thought to be one of the world's best experts on how the tarot is read in the modern world. In addition, Rachel is a member of the American Tarot Association, the International Tarot Society, and the Tarot Guild of Australia. For the past 15 years, she has been a teacher at the Omega Institute.
