You have to decide whether or not Amazon First Reads is worth it if you don’t have Prime.

A note for people who use Kindle Unlimited:

The Kindle Unlimited service lets you read all the new ebooks on Amazon’s First Reads list for free when they go on sale to the general public at the end of each month.

If you already have a Kindle Unlimited account, Amazon First Reads isn’t very useful for people who already have a Kindle. It’s just a taste of the books you’ll be able to read for free for a month.

But, for some people who use Kindle Unlimited, the First Reads program might still be worth it. Some people might not want to wait for 30 days before they can start reading a new book from their favorite author. Then, you might also want to download and keep an e-book for as long as you want, rather than just borrowing it through Kindle Unlimited. With Amazon First Reads, every book you get is part of your library for life.

When it comes to either of these two things: You don’t have to sign up for any kind of subscription, contract, or subscription, so you can sign up and leave whenever you want.
